Election Office Sylhet Sadar at a glance

Upazila Election Office:

Each district has one district election office. This office is under the purview of the Election Commission of Bangladesh and the Secretary of the Secretariat of the Election Commission. The Election Commission of Bangladesh has been established under Article 118 of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. To carry out the functions of the Election Commission Secretariat, it has established 9 Deputy Election Commissioners' Offices at the Divisional / Regional level, 63 District Election Officer's Offices at the District level, one Upazila / Thana Election Officer's Office in each Upazila and multiple Thana Election Officers in each City Corporation area office. In the office of the Deputy Election Commissioner, there is one Deputy Election Commissioner at the level of Deputy Secretary and one Assistant Election Commissioner at the level of Senior Assistant Secretary.
